Boutique law firm Bellevue Law has hired private client specialist Harriet Atkinson to help build the firm’s practice and launch its probate and estate administration service.
Harriet joins from one of the UK’s leading private client firms, Forsters LLP, where she spent 18 years, and headed up the probate team. Her experience spans all aspects of private client work including wills, trusts and tax planning. In the probate field, she has extensive experience of dealing with a range of estates and is equally comfortable helping local families who need support administering estates at a difficult time and managing complex, high value multi-jurisdictional estates.
Harriet’s arrival enables Bellevue Law to widen its existing successful private client offering. The Chambers & Partners and Legal 500-listed firm can now provide clients with assistance and advice on probate and administration of estates, trusts and tax planning in addition to wills and lasting powers of attorney.
Florence Brocklesby, founder of Bellevue Law says of Harriet’s appointment:
“Harriet is another brilliant addition to our team. She brings a wealth of experience and a well-earned reputation for both the quality of her work and her sympathetic approach. We are delighted that she is joining Harriet Turnbull to grow our established private client practice and that we can now add support with probate and administration of estates to the services we offer to clients. As a firm we pride ourselves on offering City-quality advice, cost-effectively and with empathetic service, and Harriet embodies all of these values.
Harriet Atkinson added: “It’s a big move after almost two decades at Forsters, but I’m delighted to be joining one of the best boutique law firms in the country, and excited to have the opportunity to build the private client practice alongside Harriet Turnbull.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with clients at Bellevue Law, and to continuing to provide a high quality, caring and responsive service across the full range of private client issues.”
